2020-2021 School Year Info

Welcome back to music!

Just a few reminders about Music during this period of Hybrid Learning:
I will be using Seesaw exclusively to send out work to students. There is no Google Classroom for music.  These Seesaw assignments are MANDATORY for all FULLY REMOTE students and optional for students who attend school in-person. If you attend school in-person and you complete the Seesaw Activities, they will count as extra credit.

Google Meets will continue to take place on Wednesdays. Although they are geared toward the fully remote students, anyone is welcome to attend. I will send out a link to the Google Meetings via Seesaw on Wednesday mornings, so keep an eye on your Seesaw Account. The times are listed below.

Wednesday Music Meeting Times:
11:15 AM – Kindergarten
1:00 PM – First Grade
2:00 PM 2nd Grade

I look forward to seeing you all in-person or online soon!
Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Mr. Loretto

Check out these talented kids!

Hi, everyone!  I first noticed these talented kids (12-year-old twins from Italy) on Facebook the other day playing a violin version of a Coldplay song .  Today, Quinn M. and his dad mentioned them in a comment on my lesson page and suggested that we share the video with you all.  What a great idea! So here it is.  These kids have made great use of their time while being stuck at home.  Perhaps someday they will grow up to “Rule the World.”  Enjoy their performance! 🙂

Whacky Wednesday

Hello MVES Family!

Image result for boomwhackersIt’s Wednesday!  I am dubbing today and every Wednesday going forward WHACKY WEDNESDAY!  You may have seen and/or played the BOOMWHACKERS in the music room and I thought it would be fun to share some cool music performed on them by adults.  Check out this performance by some college students from Harvard University.  They formed an ensemble called HARVARD THUD and they play all kinds of awesome music using only BOOMWHACKERS.  Enjoy!

Check back next Wednesday for some more “WHACKY” music! 😂🎶✌
